BLÜCHER secures new order for the largest ferry ever built

Color Lines new 2,800-passenger cruise ferry, the largest in the world, will be built at Kvaerner Masa-Yards Turku shipyard for delivery in 2004. The contract also includes an option for a sister ship.

The new ship has the capacity to carry up to 2,800 passengers and 700 cars. The 75,000-grt ship measures 224 m in length and 35 m in width and will replace M/S Prinsesse Ragnhild on the Oslo to Kiel route in December 2004. The new Color Line cruise ferry will be classified by DNV and built to Clean and Comfort Class.
For Color Line´ new cruise ferry BLÜCHER will supply BLÜCHER EuroPipe® stainless steel push-fit pipes for the black and grey water system.
