BLÜCHER EuroPipe - the safest drainage material in the event of a fire

BLUCHER, Europe’s leading manufacturer of Stainless Steel Drainage Systems has tested its push-fit drainage pipework system in accordance with BS EN 1366-3:2009 (Fire resistance tests for service installations. Penetration seals.) and has had the test data classified to BS EN 13501-2 (Spread of fire)

BLUCHER EuroPipe was rated E120 for all pipe sizes. With regard to spread of fire E120 states that the system maintained its integrity and did not allow the passage of smoke or flame from one fire compartment to another for the duration of 120 minutes. BLUCHER has also received a statement relating to non combustibility, from the testing facility, that stainless steel pipes and fittings when classified to BS EN 13501-1 are rated A1 (Non combustibility)

BLUCHER’s E120 rating (Spread of Fire) along with the statement regarding stainless steel being an A1 rated material (Non combustibility) makes BLUCHER’s EuroPipe stainless steel drainage pipework system the safest drainage system in the event of a fire.

BLUCHER EuroPipe does not require any fire collars and does not cause spread of fire either up or down the building.

BLUCHER EuroPipe is commonly used for soil, waste, and rainwater applications both above and below ground and is ideal for all applications including airports, hospitals, schools, prisons and commercial office projects.

BLUCHER’s latest fire rating compliments the industry leading credentials that the BLÜCHER EuroPipe system offers including excellent whole life costs, speed of installation, high strength – low weight characteristics in addition to its sustainable nature.
